As a result, Vietnam earned nearly $4.4 billion from coffee in the first nine months, a 40% increase compared to the same period in 2023 and surpassing the total export value of the previous year.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development forecasts that revenue from coffee exports this year will exceed $5 billion and could reach $6 billion thanks to high prices.

In total, the coffee market fell by $415/ton over the week. The reason for the price drop is believed to be the European Union's (EU) delay in implementing new anti-deforestation regulations for another 12 months.

Nevertheless, coffee prices recovered quickly due to continued coffee supply shortages and the record-breaking drought in Brazil.
