In the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 1.4 million tons with a value of US$7.88 billion. Thanks to a sharp increase in world prices, export value increased by 60% despite a 14% increase in volume compared to the same period. The average price reached US$5,668 per ton, 40% higher than the previous year, creating favorable conditions for domestic businesses.

The continued rise in robusta and arabica coffee prices to multi-year highs remains the main driver of improved profitability in the coffee industry. Many businesses recorded strong revenue thanks to new contracts signed at higher prices, while also taking advantage of stable demand from European markets.

The three largest markets for Vietnamese coffee remain Germany, Italy, and Spain. In Germany, the value of coffee imports from Vietnam increased by 95% in the first 10 months, boosting Vietnam's market share from 21% to 24%, despite a slight decrease in the country's total imports.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices showed mixed trends but generally increased slightly:

Robusta coffee (London):

January 2026 delivery: Up $164,331 USD/ton

March 2026 delivery: Increased by $32 to $4,244/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

December 2025 delivery: Up 5.45 cents/lb to 409.2 cents/lb

March 2026 delivery: Up 3.7 cents/lb to 376.15 cents/lb

Robusta coffee prices remain at a 1.5-week low due to market concerns about the impact of storms and heavy rains in Vietnam, which could slow harvesting and potentially reduce production by 5–10%. Differing views on production prospects are causing continuous price fluctuations.

For arabica, prices are supported by the strong Brazilian real, which is causing farmers to limit sales. Brazilian coffee exports to the US remain slow but are expected to improve from the beginning of 2026.
