Coffee prices today, February 7, 2025: A sharp increase of hundreds of USD per ton.
Today, February 7th, domestic coffee prices are at 129,500 – 130,500 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,200 to 1,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Both Arabica and Robusta coffee prices have increased by hundreds of USD per ton.
Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region increased sharply today compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 129,500 and 130,500 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 130,500 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Dak Lak province are at 130,400 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,400 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 1,400 VND/kg and are trading at 130,400 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, in Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased sharply by 1,200 VND/kg, reaching 129,500 VND/kg.
On February 5th, the Organizing Committee for the 50th Anniversary of the Victory of Buon Ma Thuot and the Liberation of Dak Lak Province (March 10, 1975 – March 10, 2025) and the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025 issued a plan for the opening ceremony of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival.
The opening ceremony will be held at 8 PM on March 10, 2025, at March 10 Square (Buon Ma Thuot city).

World coffee prices today

Robusta coffee (London):
March 2025 delivery: Increased by $12/ton, to $5,655/ton.
May 2025 delivery: Increased by $16/ton, to $5,662/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
March 2025 delivery: Up 8.7 cents/lb, to 406.45 cents/lb.
May 2025 delivery: Up 9.15 cents/lb, to 399.8 cents/lb.
According to MXV, the Brazilian Real appreciated yesterday, while the US dollar moved away from the 108-point mark. In addition, concerns about supply were the two main reasons pushing coffee prices to their peak yesterday.
Concerns about supply in the world's two largest coffee-producing countries, Brazil and Vietnam, have driven coffee prices to record highs. Brazilian coffee exports reached record levels at the beginning of the season, making current available supplies even more limited.
The global coffee market is experiencing increasingly severe supply shortages, particularly in Colombia – the world's third-largest producer – where both domestic and export prices remain at historical highs. Similarly, Central American countries and most high-quality coffee-producing nations are reporting sharp declines in inventories.
When coffee prices are this high, fundamental factors become less important. Speculators will continue to speculate. Many will be drawn to coffee after seeing what happened with cocoa and the price surge they missed. This has driven Arabica coffee prices up for 10 consecutive sessions.
