Domestic coffee prices today

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, June 8, 2025, fell sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 113,500 and 114,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at a maximum price of 114,000 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 114,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by 1,800 VND/kg and are trading at 113,800 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee decreased by 1,500 VND/kg and is now at 113,500 VND/kg.

Coffee prices on the world market fell towards the end of the session due to pressure from harvesting progress in Brazil and strong exports from Vietnam. Specifically, arabica coffee prices fell from their highest level in two weeks after Safras & Mercado reported that Brazil had harvested 28% of its 2025-2026 coffee crop as of June 4th. This is higher than the five-year average of 27% for the same period, indicating very positive harvesting progress in the world's largest coffee-producing country.

Similarly, robusta coffee prices also plummeted after data from the Vietnam Customs Department showed that coffee exports in May reached 148,762 tons, a 60.5% increase compared to the same period last year. However, from the beginning of the year to the end of May, exports still decreased slightly by 1.8%, reaching 823,908 tons.

In the long term, the outlook for coffee consumption remains positive. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), rapid urbanization, the growth of coffee shop chains, and the increasing demand for coffee among young people are driving significant domestic consumption growth.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market have fallen sharply on both exchanges:

Robusta coffee (London):

July 2025 delivery: Decreased by $153/ton, to $4,440/ton.

September 2025 delivery: Decreased by $106/ton, to $4,339/ton.

Arabica coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Down 1.7 cents/lb, to 358.05 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Down 1.75 cents/lb, to 355.45 cents/lb.

Nevertheless, the market still has certain supporting factors. One of them is concern about unfavorable weather conditions in Brazil. According to the meteorological agency Somar Meteorologia, the Minas Gerais region – the country's largest arabica-growing area – received no rain in the week ending May 31, which could affect crop yields.

In addition, the strengthening of the Brazilian Real, reaching its highest level in 7.5 months against the USD, also reduced the selling incentive for Brazilian producers, thereby helping to somewhat limit the price decline.

Additionally, the Brazilian government released preliminary data showing that green coffee exports in May reached only 2.84 million bags, a decrease of 30.15% compared to the same period last year.
