Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, July 8, 2025, increased only slightly, fluctuating between 96,000 and 96,500 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at 96,400 VND/kg. This remains unchanged from yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 96,500 VND/kg, an increase of 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 100 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 96,400 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 200 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 96,000 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices are currently at 96,000 - 96,500 VND/kg, showing a slight, insignificant increase compared to the beginning of last week. However, this price surge is causing farmers to hesitate: should they sell to prepare for the new harvest, or continue to hold onto their stock, waiting for even higher prices?
This is a difficult question, because the coffee market is unpredictable. Even though global supply is expected to be in surplus by about 1 million bags (60 kg per bag) at the end of the 2023-2024 crop year, coffee prices still rose sharply and peaked in February 2025. This volatility shows that supply and demand are no longer the sole factors influencing prices.
Another notable event this past week was Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Brazil. During the trip, the Prime Minister proposed building a joint coffee brand between Vietnam and Brazil to enhance the position and value of Vietnamese coffee products in the global market.

Brazilian coffee export giant Grupo Tristao forecasts that coffee production in the state of Espirito Santo could surpass Vietnam's in the next few years. The company is planning to build a large warehouse in the region to anticipate the increased supply. The adoption of modern technology, advanced irrigation systems, and the ability to expand cultivation on degraded pastures are considered key factors driving production. Many experts are surprised by the rapid growth of robusta coffee in Brazil.
According to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Vietnam is projected to produce approximately 31 million bags of coffee in the 2025–2026 crop year, while the state of Espirito Santo in Brazil alone could reach 21.5 million bags, including a small portion of arabica. Brazil's total coffee production is expected to reach 65 million bags, a slight increase of 0.5% compared to the previous crop year.
The production growth is primarily driven by robusta coffee, with a projected record 24.1 million bags, a 15% increase compared to the 2024–2025 crop year, thanks to favorable weather conditions in the main growing regions. To accommodate the increasing production, Grupo Tristao plans to build a warehouse with a capacity of at least 1 million bags in Espirito Santo.
