On July 23rd, the Faith group, led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, visited and presented gifts to the family of veteran Nguyen Khanh Nha in Le Mao ward, Vinh City.

Veteran Nguyen Khanh Nha, 68 years old, fought in the Quang Tri battlefield. He is currently a 4/4 disabled veteran, suffering from the effects of Agent Orange, and his wife is the daughter of a fallen soldier.

Mr. Nha's family is in extremely difficult circumstances, as three generations have been affected by Agent Orange. Mr. Nha has four children, all of whom suffer from the lingering effects of the war. Adding to their tragic situation, his grandchild is also affected by Agent Orange.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nha's youngest son suffers the most severe disability in the family. He has cerebral palsy, is deaf and mute from birth, and cannot care for himself, requiring constant care from eating to personal hygiene. Because he cannot control himself, the family has been forced to make a chain to protect him and everyone else. According to Mr. Nha, "this chain has been with my youngest son since he first learned to walk, and it may have to be with him for the rest of his life"...

During his visit, Mr. Nguyen Van Thong expressed his deep gratitude and thanked veteran Nguyen Khanh Nha for his immense contributions to the nation. He also affirmed that all levels of society and generations are always grateful for the contributions of previous generations. The country's independence, peace, unity, stability, and development today are due to the immense contributions of the heroes, martyrs, wounded soldiers, and those who participated in the resistance on all fronts.

On this occasion, sharing the difficulties with the family of veteran Nguyen Khanh Nha, representatives of the "Niềm Tin" (Faith) group presented a sum of 20,000,000 VND (twenty million Vietnamese dong) from the group's fund. Mr. Nguyen Van Thong and members of the "Niềm Tin" group encouraged and expressed their wish that veteran Nguyen Khanh Nha continue to maintain his health to be a support, instilling faith and strength in his descendants to continue overcoming the severe consequences of the lingering effects of Agent Orange.

The Faith Group, established in 2014, operates with the aspiration to help those in particularly difficult circumstances. Each month, group members contribute a portion of their personal income to a fund and directly visit families in need. All humanitarian visits and support provided by the group are confirmed and endorsed by representatives of the local government.
