Haha Family Episode 16: Artists return to Lien Village emotionally after 15 stages of their journey.
The return of the Haha Family cast to Lien village is not only a healing journey but also brings unique Tay cultural stories and the transformation of the two children, Thu and Thang.
The special leg of the Haha Family program has officially begun, marking the return of the artists to Lien Village – their first memorable destination. Despite having visited 15 other locations across the country, Lien Village remains a favorite among the members, with its familiar faces and the warm hospitality of the highland people.
In stark contrast to the bright sunshine of their first meeting, this return visit brought the Haha Family to Lien Village amidst the cold, rainy, and foggy winter weather characteristic of the northern mountainous region. However, the harsh weather did not diminish the artists' excitement at witnessing the changes here.
From apprentice farmer to professional craftsman
No longer feeling awkward or hesitant like in the beginning, the members quickly adapted to the work in the village. The highlight of this episode was the task of splitting palm leaves and re-roofing the stilt houses – a unique traditional cultural practice of the local people. With the experience accumulated over many journeys, Jun Pham and Duy Khanh confidently asserted that they had become "professional farmers".
Besides working, the artists also had the opportunity to explore the profound cultural stories of the Tay people. Through the stories of the locals, they gained a deeper understanding of the meaning of the traditional indigo color or the good fortune associated with the red and pink hues on the waist scarves. In particular, Mr. Ha revealed the "matchmaking season" – where young men and women in the village find each other through collective labor activities such as roofing houses at the end of the year.

The maturity shown by Thu and Thang also surprised the artists. The two children were more open and lively when sharing about school and their upcoming dance performances. These moments further affirmed the humanistic values and the bond that the program brought to both the artists and the local people.
The hearth in a traditional stilt house remains the place where the strongest emotional connections are made. A family reunion meal is not only an opportunity to enjoy local dishes but also a time for everyone to sit together and share stories about the lives of these "ordinary yet extraordinary" people from all over the country.
According to the production team, this special segment will last for 5 episodes. After the opening episode, the program will change its broadcast time to 8:00 PM every Saturday on VTV3 to meet the expectations of television viewers.
