Family devastated by winning nearly 90 billion in lottery

The biological mother asked for a new house, the daughter asked for a sum of cash but the Korean man did not agree.

According to Rocketnews, a 58-year-old man in Paju City, South Korea was lucky to win a $4 million lottery (about VND88.5 billion). Because he had divorced his wife, he thought he would not have too much trouble with the division of the money. However, the trouble came from his own family members, including his biological mother and daughter.

The mother asked him to buy her a new apartment and asked for an allowance. She thought she should get half of the money because she had taken care of him since he was a child. The daughter also wanted some cash from her father because she also helped him take care of her grandmother.

Things came to a head when the man suddenly moved to another city without telling his family. When his mother and daughter found his new home, they had a mechanic drill into the door to get inside.

The 58-year-old man then filed a complaint with the local police. His mother and granddaughter, angry at his son's actions, protested outside the city office. They said he was a man who had abandoned his family responsibilities after winning the lottery.
