In episode 21 of the series 'The Opposite Family', the family conflict between Mr. Phi (Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai) and Mrs. Anh reached an undesirable conclusion. After the mistakes he had made, Mr. Phi was forced to face the decision to divorce from his long-time wife.

A broken marriage and the pain of those involved.

At the beginning of the episode, after being asked to leave the house by his wife, Mr. Phi moves in temporarily with his newly adopted daughter, Nhi. Although he still tries to text his wife, hoping for her understanding and forgiveness, Mrs. Anh's attitude is extremely resolute. When she calls her husband home, instead of a chance for reconciliation as Mr. Phi hoped, Mrs. Anh has already prepared a divorce petition and a plan for dividing the assets.

Despite Mr. Phi's pleas and insistence that he couldn't live without his family, Mrs. Anh remained cold and distant. Faced with his wife's unwavering resolve, Mr. Phi finally signed the divorce papers. However, behind that calm exterior, Mrs. Anh sobbed uncontrollably when she was alone in the room, revealing the deep emotional pain she had suffered after the ordeal.

Nhi's understanding and the sibling bond.

Particularly noteworthy in this episode is the image of Nhi, Mr. Phi's 10-year-old daughter, who went to the market and cooked porridge on her own to take care of her father when he had a fever. Her thoughtfulness and resourcefulness touched many people. Upon learning of her father's condition, Duong came to help and took Nhi back to Duc and Van's house to avoid catching the illness, while also helping her prepare for her semester exams.

Here, although Duc initially seemed indifferent, when he heard Nhi recount her past experience of sleeping in hospital corridors to care for her mother, his attitude gradually changed, and he developed compassion. Van, who had also lost her mother at a young age, proactively created opportunities for Duc to become closer and more connected with his half-sister.

A turning point in the relationship between Tuan and Duong.

Meanwhile, Tuan decided to turn his birthday into a special declaration of love for Duong. Although his initial plan failed because Duong was busy with family matters and couldn't be contacted, Tuan persevered, driving to her house and waiting all night.

The next morning, when Duong saw Tuan asleep in his car in front of her house, she was completely surprised. Despite her confusion over family matters, and his sincere marriage proposal, "Will you be my girlfriend?", Duong indirectly agreed by proactively getting into his car and asking him to drive her to school. This action marked a new step in the couple's relationship.
