Ensuring pork supply for the 2026 Lunar New Year.

Regarding the food supply situation for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the agricultural sector assesses that the supply is basically stable and sufficient to meet the increased consumer demand. In Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region, businesses and livestock farmers have proactively developed plans to increase their herds early on.

In particular, the expansion of farmland following the merger of neighboring areas has significantly increased Ho Chi Minh City's local supply capacity. Currently, about 60% of agricultural products for Tet (Lunar New Year) are sourced domestically, with the remainder coming from partner provinces and cities. Authorities are actively implementing safe food chains to ensure food hygiene and quality for the market during the upcoming peak season.
