Thanh Hoa province is taking precautions against the return of African swine fever.

Warning of the risk of African swine fever in Thanh Hoa.

According to reports from Thanh Hoa Province, although the locality has declared the African swine fever outbreak over, the risk of a resurgence remains high. With a total pig population of approximately 1.3 million and a large proportion of small-scale farming, disease prevention measures are being tightened, especially in hot weather conditions that are favorable for the development of pathogens.

In Xuan Binh commune, the local authorities have requested increased information dissemination and guidance to encourage people to strictly apply biosecurity measures in livestock farming. Livestock farmers are advised to regularly clean their barns, disinfect them, and administer all necessary vaccinations to boost the pigs' immunity.

The Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine of Thanh Hoa Province has established inspection teams to monitor and supervise disease prevention and control efforts in localities. Simultaneously, rapid response teams are always on standby to decisively handle outbreaks as soon as they appear, absolutely preventing widespread transmission.
