Authorities are taking decisive action to contain the African swine fever outbreak in Tuyen Quang.
Amidst market adjustments, disease prevention and control are receiving special attention from local authorities. According to VNA, African swine fever has appeared in 13 communes in Tuyen Quang province, including Trung Thinh commune.

In Trung Thinh Commune, the disease has broken out in 7 villages, affecting 10 livestock farming households, with a total of approximately 3,460 kg of pigs culled. Local authorities have urgently coordinated with the Xin Man Regional Veterinary Agency to collect samples for testing and organize the culling of the infected pigs. The commune has also allocated contingency funds to support farmers, while simultaneously implementing environmental disinfection and widespread vaccination.
The leaders of Tuyen Quang province have instructed local authorities to closely monitor the disease down to the village and household level, and to strictly handle cases of concealing outbreaks or selling sick pigs to prevent widespread transmission and ensure the stability of livestock farming.
