iPhone 16 prices dropped sharply to a record low at the end of the year.
The price of the iPhone 16 has dropped dramatically, reaching its lowest level since its launch. Consumers are flocking to buy the iPhone 16 as the price difference with the iPhone 17 widens.
Immediately after the iPhone 17 officially went on sale, the price of the iPhone 16 entered its biggest price drop ever.
Major retail chains such as Hoang Ha Mobile, CellphoneS, TopZone, and Viettel Store have simultaneously lowered prices, drawing consumers back into the market.
The standard 128GB iPhone 16 now costs only around 20.9 - 21.3 million VND, a decrease of more than 2 million VND compared to its launch price.
The 256GB and 512GB versions also saw corresponding price reductions, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max dropped by as much as 13-15%, now ranging around 29.6-30.5 million VND.

Many retailers also offer 0% installment plans, additional discounts when paying via e-wallets, or trade-in programs, which can reduce the actual price of the iPhone 16 by an additional 500,000 to 1.5 million VND.
According to business sources, the rate of iPhone 16 price drop this year is significantly faster than in previous cycles. The main reason is that the iPhone 17 was launched at a very high price, causing consumers to switch to the previous generation, which is more affordable and offers comparable performance.
Many customers using iPhone 13 or 14 are choosing to upgrade to iPhone 16 because the price difference compared to iPhone 17 is as much as 6-8 million VND, while the A18 Bionic chip still handles demanding tasks like video recording or gaming well.
The shift in trend towards "choosing smart over the latest" is making the iPhone 16 price more attractive than ever.
The price drop of the iPhone 16 has had a ripple effect across the entire Apple product line. Older models like the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 have also seen significant price reductions to maintain a reasonable price gap between generations.
Currently, the iPhone 15 (128GB) is selling for around 16.7 - 17.3 million VND, while the iPhone 14 is only 12.4 - 12.5 million VND, the lowest price since the beginning of the year. Retailers are fiercely competing, adjusting prices down to the nearest hundred thousand VND to attract customers, making the year-end phone market unusually vibrant.
The drop in iPhone 16 prices has therefore become a focal point, both boosting sales and directly benefiting consumers.
According to experts, the downward trend in iPhone 16 prices could continue until the end of December 2025 before stabilizing in the first quarter of 2026. As supply gradually shrinks and Apple stops production of some older versions, the price of the iPhone 16 may slightly increase again.
However, at the present time, the iPhone 16 remains the most worthwhile option in the high-end segment, offering both powerful performance and an accessible price.
With increasingly fierce competition among retail systems, this historic price reduction not only makes the iPhone 16 more attractive but also ushers in the most vibrant shopping period of the year for Vietnamese consumers.
