According to market analysts, trading activity is currently quite slow, reflecting the cautious sentiment of both traders and businesses as the supply from the Winter-Spring crop begins to enter the market.

Trends in fresh rice prices in various localities.
Updated data from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province shows that the price of fresh rice in the locality and neighboring provinces remains stable. Specifically, high-quality rice varieties such as OM 18 and Dai Thom 8 are being purchased at around 6,300 – 6,500 VND/kg.
Other rice varieties also recorded stable prices:
- OM 5451 rice:Prices range from 5,800 to 6,200 VND/kg.
- OM 4218 rice:Keep the price at 6,000 – 6,200 VND/kg.
- IR 50404 rice:Around 5,500 – 5,600 VND/kg.
- OM 34 rice:Listed price: 5,200 – 5,400 VND/kg.
In key rice-growing areas such as Can Tho, Dong Thap, and Vinh Long, trading in the winter-spring rice crop was sluggish. Farmers offered small quantities for sale, while demand from warehouses was not very high, resulting in a relatively quiet market at the end of the week.
Prices of raw rice and finished rice remain stable.
Similar to paddy rice, the prices of raw and finished rice remain unchanged. The export price of OM 18 raw rice is currently 8,800 – 9,000 VND/kg, while Dai Thom 8 rice is at 8,650 – 8,800 VND/kg. Finished IR 504 rice maintains its price at 9,500 – 9,700 VND/kg.

The export market remains stable.
According to a report from the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), Vietnam's export rice prices continue to remain stable, not subject to significant pressure from international market fluctuations today. Fragrant rice with 5% broken grains is currently being offered at around 420-440 USD/ton. 100% broken grains are priced at 319-323 USD/ton, and Jasmine rice is fluctuating around 446-450 USD/ton.
Overall, the domestic rice market is entering a period of price stagnation. This signals a balance between new supply from the winter-spring crop and current consumption demand, helping to stabilize market sentiment in the short term.
