Rice prices today, November 14, 2024: Domestic prices are fluctuating in opposite directions, with some types of paddy increasing by 100-200 VND/kg, while milled rice prices have decreased slightly by 50-100 VND/kg.
Domestic rice prices
In the rice market, the price of IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice remains stable at 10,300 - 10,500 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of finished IR 504 rice has decreased slightly to 12,300 - 12,500 VND/kg.
According to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. IR 50404 rice is priced at 7,400 - 7,500 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is priced at 8,200 - 8,400 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is priced at 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is priced at 8,400 - 8,600 VND/kg, an increase of 200 VND/kg; OM 380 rice fluctuates between 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice is priced at 8,400 - 8,600 VND/kg. Japanese rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg and dried Nang Nhen rice at 20,000 VND/kg.
In addition, the glutinous rice market remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) was priced at 7,800 - 7,900 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (dried) was priced at 9,600 - 9,800 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. Long An 3-month glutinous rice (dried) was priced at 9,800 - 10,000 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, the prices of various by-products range from 6,050 to 9,400 VND/kg. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice is 9,200 - 9,400 VND/kg; the price of dry rice bran is 6,050 - 6,150 VND/kg, a decrease of 50 VND/kg.
World rice prices
Regarding exports, Vietnam's rice prices remained unchanged today compared to yesterday: 100% broken rice at $423/ton (down $4/ton), 5% broken rice at $518/ton (down $6/ton), and 25% broken rice at $488/ton (down $7/ton).
In the first 10 months of 2024, Vietnam exported nearly 7.8 million tons of rice, worth US$4.86 billion, an increase of 10.2% in volume and 23.4% in value compared to the same period in 2023. The average export price of rice reached US$626.2 per ton, up 12% from last year. It is expected that total exports this year will exceed 8 million tons.
