Today's export rice prices (September 23, 2024)
Vietnamese rice export prices are currently high in the international market. Specifically, the price of 100% broken rice is $455/ton, standard 5% broken rice is $567/ton, and 25% broken rice is $537/ton.
Due to the impact of flooding, the rice supply may decrease, leading to an increase in export rice prices. Rice exporting businesses have signed large contracts at low prices and are waiting to buy rice at even lower prices to fulfill these contracts.
However, because they were unable to purchase rice at the desired price, businesses were forced to buy rice at higher prices to fulfill signed orders.
Currently, many businesses are focusing on securing supplies for existing orders and paying less attention to securing new orders.
