Rice prices in the Mekong Delta remained stable due to scarce supply at the end of the season, while Dai Thom 8 rice saw a slight increase of 50 VND/kg. Export rice prices remained stable.
As of December 25th, rice prices in the Mekong Delta region remained stable compared to the end of last week. The limited supply of rice at the end of the harvest season helped maintain price levels. Meanwhile, the rice market saw some slight upward adjustments in a few varieties.
Trends in fresh rice prices
According to data from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the prices of fresh rice have not fluctuated much. Trading in localities such as Can Tho, Dong Thap, and An Giang has been slow due to limited remaining rice supplies.
