Transaction situation in various localities
In An Giang, the supply of winter-spring rice is consistent, with only slight price fluctuations. In Dong Thap, trading of newly harvested rice is more active, with less price volatility. In Can Tho, farmers are offering a large quantity of winter-spring rice, prices remain high, and traders are making few purchases. In Ca Mau, Vinh Long, and Tay Ninh, trading is infrequent, and prices are relatively stable.
Vietnamese and global rice export prices
According to the Vietnam Food Association, the price of Vietnamese exported rice currently varies. Jasmine rice is offered at the highest price, around 430-434 USD/ton; fragrant rice with 5% broken grains is at 400-415 USD/ton; and 100% broken grains range from 316-320 USD/ton.
On the world market, in Thailand, the export price of 5% broken rice ranges from 381 to 385 USD/ton, while 100% broken rice is priced at 363 to 367 USD/ton. In India, 5% broken rice is offered at 351 to 355 USD/ton and 100% broken rice at 304 to 308 USD/ton.
