Current market prices for rice remain unchanged from yesterday. IR 504 Summer-Autumn raw rice is priced from VND10,450 to VND10,600 per kilogram, while IR 504 finished rice is priced from VND12,800 to VND12,900 per kilogram.
In retail markets, the prices of rice remain unchanged. Nang Nhen rice has the highest price of VND28,000/kg. Jasmine rice costs from VND18,000 to VND20,000/kg, Nang Hoa rice VND20,000/kg, regular rice VND15,000 to VND16,000/kg, long-grain fragrant rice VND20,000 to VND21,000/kg, Huong jasmine rice VND18,000/kg, Taiwanese fragrant rice VND21,000/kg, common white rice VND17,000/kg, Soc regular rice VND18,000 to VND18,500/kg, Soc Thai rice VND21,000/kg and Japanese rice VND22,000/kg.

According to the latest information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang, today's rice price has been adjusted compared to yesterday:
IR 50404 rice costs from 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg.
Dai Thom 8 rice costs from 8,000 to 8,200 VND/kg.
OM 5451 rice costs from 7,400 to 7,700 VND/kg.
OM 18 rice is priced from 7,500 to 7,800 VND/kg, down 200 to 300 VND.
OM 380 rice has a stable price of 7,300 VND/kg.
Japanese rice costs from 7,800 to 8,000 VND/kg.
The highest price of dried Nang Nhen rice is 20,000 VND/kg.
By-product price today 9/29/2024
The current prices of by-products range from 6,000 to 9,700 VND/kg. Specifically, the price of OM 5451 broken rice ranges from 9,600 to 9,700 VND/kg, while the price of dry bran ranges from 6,000 to 6,050 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, the price of sticky rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. The price of Long An IR 4625 sticky rice (dry) remained stable at 9,500 to 9,700 VND/kg. The price of 3-month Long An sticky rice (dry) also remained unchanged, remaining at 9,800 to 10,000 VND/kg.
Rice export price today
In the export market, Vietnamese rice prices have seen slight changes. According to the Vietnam Food Association, 100% broken rice is priced at $454 per ton, 5% standard rice is priced at $562 per ton (down $2), and 25% broken rice is priced at $532 per ton (down $2).
The Indian government has reduced the export duty on parboiled rice from 20% to 10% to boost exports and stabilize the market. The decision comes as India has large rice stocks and farmers are about to start harvesting the new crop.
Parboiled rice, which is soaked in hot water before processing, as well as brown rice, both have their export tax reduced to 10%.
Earlier this month, India also removed the floor price for basmati rice exports, giving farmers easier access to major markets like Europe, the Middle East and the US.
