Today's rice prices in the Mekong Delta region are trending upwards for both paddy and milled rice.

In the rice market, localities such as An Giang, Soc Trang, and Dong Thap recorded relatively quiet transactions, with limited quantities of high-quality rice and slow purchasing activity. Current rice prices remain stable.

Rice prices have seen a slight adjustment compared to yesterday. Specifically, IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice is currently priced at 10,600 - 10,700 VND/kg, an increase of 50 VND/kg; finished IR 504 rice is priced at 12,550 - 12,650 VND/kg, also an increase of 50 VND/kg.

At retail markets, rice prices have not changed significantly. Nang Nhen rice currently has the highest price at 28,000 VND/kg. Other types of rice maintain stable prices: regular rice from 15,000 - 16,000 VND/kg, fragrant rice from 17,000 - 23,000 VND/kg, Jasmine rice 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg, Nang Hoa rice 21,500 VND/kg, Huong Lai rice 23,000 VND/kg, Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg, regular Soc rice 18,500 VND/kg, Thai Soc rice 21,000 VND/kg, and Japanese rice 22,000 VND/kg.

In the rice market, as observed in Dong Thap and An Giang provinces, prices remained stable, but transactions involving newly harvested rice were slow and purchasing power was low.

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, rice prices today have seen a slight adjustment compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of IR 50404 rice is currently at 6,800 - 7,100 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 7,300 - 7,600 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is priced from 8,400 - 8,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 - 1,200 VND/kg. OM 380 rice fluctuates from 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, Japanese rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg, and Nang Nhen (dried) rice is priced at 20,000 VND/kg.

By-product prices today, November 3, 2024

The price of by-products is currently fluctuating between 6,700 and 9,600 VND/kg. Specifically, the price of OM 5451 broken rice is 9,300 - 9,600 VND/kg, while the price of dry rice bran has increased to 6,700 - 6,800 VND/kg, up 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

The glutinous rice market saw no price change compared to yesterday. Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) remained stable at 7,800 - 7,900 VND/kg, and Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (dried) also stayed unchanged at 9,600 - 9,800 VND/kg.

Today's export rice prices

Regarding exports, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the price of 100% broken rice was 427 USD/ton; standard 5% broken rice was 524 USD/ton; and 25% broken rice was 495 USD/ton.
