Rice prices today remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Raw IR 504 summer-autumn rice is priced from 11,100 to 11,200 VND/kg. Finished IR 504 rice is priced from 13,200 to 13,300 VND/kg.

At local markets, the prices of all types of rice remain unchanged.

Nang Nhen rice has the highest price at 28,000 VND/kg. Jasmine rice costs between 18,000 and 20,000 VND/kg. Nang Hoa rice costs 20,000 VND/kg.

Regular white rice costs between 15,000 and 16,000 VND/kg. Long-grain fragrant rice costs between 20,000 and 21,000 VND/kg. Jasmine rice costs 20,000 VND/kg. Taiwanese fragrant rice costs 21,000 VND/kg.

In today's rice market, late summer-autumn rice is selling at high prices, much to the delight of farmers.

The 2024 Autumn-Winter rice crop in Can Tho City and other provinces in the Mekong Delta is currently in its development stage, from heading to ripening and nearing maturity. Many traders and businesses have already placed deposits to purchase rice at high prices.

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, rice prices today remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically:

IR 50404 rice is priced from 7,900 to 8,000 VND/kg. Dai Thom 8 rice is priced from 8,500 to 8,600 VND/kg.

OM 5451 rice is priced at 8,200 - 8,400 VND/kg. OM 18 rice is priced at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg. OM 380 rice is priced at 7,800 VND/kg.

Japanese rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg.

Dried Nang Nhen rice is priced at 20,000 VND/kg.

The price of glutinous rice today remains unchanged compared to yesterday.

IR 4625 glutinous rice is priced at 7,400 to 7,600 VND/kg, remaining unchanged. An Giang glutinous rice is priced at 7,000 to 7,200 VND/kg, with no price fluctuation.

The current price of agricultural by-products ranges from 6,900 to 9,300 VND/kg. Specifically, OM 5451 sheets are priced from 9,200 to 9,300 VND/kg.

The price of dry rice bran remained stable at between 6,900 and 7,000 VND/kg.

Rice export prices on September 4, 2024

Vietnam's export rice prices remained unchanged from yesterday, at $452/ton for 100% broken rice, $575/ton for standard 5% broken rice, and $535/ton for 25% broken rice.

Vietnam's rice exports showed positive growth, with 6.16 million tons exported in the first eight months of 2024, reaching a value of nearly $3.85 billion.

Compared to last year, export rice prices increased by approximately 15%, with an average price of $625 million per ton. The price of 5% broken rice remained stable last week at $578 per ton.

Global food shortages and India's ban on rice exports are the main reasons for the increase in export rice prices.

Vietnamese businesses are increasing their rice procurement to meet year-end export demands and expand into new markets.

Vietnam's rice exports are expected to reach 7.6-8 million tons, generating over $5 billion this year, marking a new record for the agricultural sector.
