Export market: The disparity between regional competitors.

On the international market, the export price of Vietnamese rice continues to remain in the high segment. 5% broken rice is currently being offered at around 400-415 USD/ton. Meanwhile, premium rice varieties such as Jasmine reach 430-434 USD/ton, and 100% broken rice ranges from 316-320 USD/ton.

Notably, Vietnam's prices currently show a significant difference compared to its main competitors. Specifically, Thai 5% broken rice is priced at only $381-$385 per ton, while Indian rice is even lower at $351-$355 per ton. This difference reflects Vietnam's strategy of focusing on quality and brand value, rather than competing purely on production volume like India.

Overall, the domestic market is currently in a slowdown phase. Traders and businesses are now adopting a wait-and-see approach, awaiting clearer signals from global import demand before deciding to increase their purchasing volumes.
