According to the proposal from the Department of Finance, the average price of clean water expected to be adjusted this time is 8,600 VND/m³.³(an increase of 19.45% compared to the current price of 7,200 VND/m²)³Specifically, the projected average price for clean water in Vinh and its surrounding areas is 8,800 VND/m³.³(an increase of 22.22% compared to the current price) and the projected average price of clean water in the remaining areas is 7,600 VND/m³.³(increase of 5.5%).

The basis for this water price increase stems from rising costs such as electricity and raw materials, as well as the fact that Vinh City and its surrounding areas have changed their raw water source. Instead of directly sourcing from irrigation systems, they now use raw water supplied by Song Lam Joint Stock Company. According to the plan, the maximum price for raw water in the first year is 1,950 VND/m³.³Meanwhile, the current price of raw water, which has just been included in the cost of clean water, is 630 VND/m3.

At the meeting, the opinions of the departments and agencies were generally in agreement with the new adjusted price, as it did not exceed the state-regulated ceiling and was not higher than that of neighboring localities.
