On the morning of April 22nd, pork prices at retail outlets and the live pig market nationwide remained stable. Chilled pork products maintained the highest price at 204,900 VND/kg.
According to a survey conducted on the morning of April 22nd, the domestic pork market showed no new price fluctuations. At major food retail chains, prices remained stable, while live pig prices across all three regions continued to fall behind after previous adjustments.
Prices for chilled pork at WinMart remain stable.
On the e-commerce website winmart.vn, the price of Meat Deli chilled pork remains unchanged. Currently, the products are listed in the range of 110,320 - 204,900 VND/kg. Notably, WinMart members still enjoy a 20% discount on these items.
Specifically, pork loin had the highest listed price, reaching 204,900 VND/kg. Conversely, pork leg and minced pork recorded the lowest prices in the surveyed categories, at 110,320 VND/kg and 141,901 VND/kg respectively.

On the morning of April 22nd, live pig prices in the northern region continued to remain stable at 63,000 - 66,000 VND/kg. Hung Yen currently has the highest price in the region at 66,000 VND/kg. Localities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Bac Ninh maintained a price of 65,000 VND/kg.
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the purchase price of live pigs fluctuates between 63,000 and 69,000 VND/kg. Lam Dong continues to lead the region with a price of 69,000 VND/kg, while Ha Tinh recorded the lowest price at 63,000 VND/kg.
In the southern region, the trend remained stable with prices ranging from 67,000 to 69,000 VND/kg. Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, and Vinh Long had the highest prices in the region, reaching 69,000 VND/kg. An Giang and Can Tho had lower prices at 67,000 VND/kg.
Illegal pig slaughterhouse discovered in Dong Nai Province.
Regarding food safety issues, authorities in Dong Nai Province recently conducted a surprise inspection and discovered an illegal pig slaughtering facility in Long Binh Ward owned by Mr. Tran Huy Manh. At the scene, police found over 500 kg of pork showing signs of discoloration and foul odor, along with two live pigs exhibiting symptoms of illness.
The owner of the facility admitted that the pigs were purchased from markets for slaughter and distribution to the market for profit. Currently, all the meat and live pigs have been sealed pending the results of the inspection and processing according to regulations.
