Pepper prices today, December 1st, 2025: Domestic prices closed November with a sharp increase of 4000 to 5000 VND/kg. Vietnamese and Brazilian pepper prices increased due to weather conditions and scarce supply.

Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak is being purchased at 151,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. The price of pepper in Chu Se (Gia Lai) is being purchased at 150,500 VND/kg, also unchanged from yesterday. The price of pepper in Dak Nong today is recorded at 151,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

In the Southeast region, the price of pepper in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is currently at 150,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, the price of pepper today is also at 150,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, December 1st, 2025, pepper prices closed November with a sharp increase of 4000 to 5500 VND/kg. Specifically, pepper prices in Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau recorded an increase of 5000 VND/kg compared to the previous month. In Gia Lai, pepper prices increased by 5500 VND/kg compared to the previous month. In the Southeast region, pepper prices uniformly decreased by 5000 VND/kg compared to the beginning of November.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), citing data from the ITC, Germany imported 2,241 tons of pepper in September 2025, worth US$17.9 million. Compared to August, imports increased by 15.3%, but decreased by 12.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Vietnam was Germany's largest supplier with 1,135 tons, accounting for over 50% of total imports, followed by Brazil and India.

As of the end of September 2025, Germany imported a total of 23,206 tons of pepper, worth $184.6 million. Compared to 2024, the import volume increased by 8.1%, while the value increased sharply by 55.2%. Vietnam continued to play a leading role with 13,742 tons, accounting for 59.2% of the market share, followed by Brazil with 22.5%, while India and Cambodia contributed smaller portions.

Germany is currently the largest pepper consumer market in Europe and ranks fifth globally, with a stable demand of approximately 28,000-30,000 tons per year. For many years, Vietnam has maintained its position as the largest supplier to this market thanks to its stable production and quality that meets the requirements of German businesses.

According to the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the close of the most recent trading session, the IPC listed Indonesian Lampung black pepper at US$7,136/ton and Muntok white pepper at US$9,717/ton.

Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper is priced at US$6,175/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper remains stable at US$9,200/ton; Malaysian ASTA white pepper is priced at US$12,300/ton.

Today, Vietnamese black pepper is trading at US$6,500/ton for the 500 g/l variety; US$6,700/ton for the 550 g/l variety; and white pepper at US$9,250/ton.

Pepper prices in Indonesia and Malaysia fell sharply compared to the previous month. Specifically, Lampung black pepper prices decreased by US$75/ton (down 1.04%), and Muntok white pepper prices decreased by US$344/ton (down 3.42%). Similarly, ASTA black pepper prices decreased by US$175/ton (down 1.87%), and ASTA white pepper prices decreased by US$100/ton (down 0.81%).

Pepper prices in Vietnam and Brazil have surged due to weather conditions and limited supply. Specifically, Vietnamese white pepper, according to IPC updates, increased by $200/ton, while Vietnamese black pepper increased by $100/ton. Brazilian pepper increased by $75/ton (1.23%).

According to IPC, global pepper prices showed mixed trends at the end of November. Vietnamese pepper prices rose sharply in both domestic and international markets, while Indian pepper prices fell due to the depreciation of the Rupee by about 1%, weakening purchasing power and affecting export prices.
