Today, May 10th, the domestic price of pepper is between 153,000 and 155,000 VND/kg. The price remains high compared to yesterday. Domestic pepper prices are stable at a high level, reflecting a balance between supply and demand.

Today's pepper prices in some key growing regions remained high compared to yesterday. As a result, the average domestic pepper price is between 153,000 VND/kg and 155,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 155,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 153,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Dak Nong remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 155,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is 153,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 153,000 VND/kg.
Additionally, today's pepper price in Binh Phuoc remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 153,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on May 8th (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices fell slightly compared to yesterday, reaching US$7,323/ton (down 0.2%). Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also decreased slightly compared to yesterday, reaching US$9,918/ton (down 0.21%).
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,800 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,200/tonne. Additionally, the price of ASTA white pepper from the same country remained stable at US$11,900/tonne.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 6,700 USD/ton; and the price of 550 gr/l is 6,800 USD/ton.
Similarly, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700 per ton.
According to experts, the domestic pepper market is currently quite stable with high prices, reflecting a balance between supply and demand. In the short term, pepper prices are forecast to remain stable, but may still be affected by fluctuations in world prices and weather conditions in major producing countries.
According to data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), Vietnam imported 5,688 tons of pepper last month, including 5,209 tons of black pepper and 479 tons of white pepper, with a total value of US$36.7 million. Compared to the previous month, the import volume increased by 15.1% and the value increased by 27.2%.
This month's imports are close to the record level previously recorded in May 2021, when Vietnam imported 5,747 tons of pepper – the highest level ever.
In terms of supply, Brazil remains the main supplier to Vietnam, accounting for over 66% of total imports with 3,792 tons, an increase of nearly 24% compared to the previous month. Cambodia ranks second, supplying 1,171 tons and experiencing a sharp increase of 127.8%.
Among the businesses, Olam was the largest importer in the month, with a volume of 2,148 tons, an increase of 46.2% compared to March and accounting for nearly 38% of the country's total pepper import market share.
