Today's pepper prices in some key growing regions remain high. As a result, the average domestic pepper price is between 142,000 VND/kg and 143,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 143,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 142,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Dak Nong remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 143,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is 142,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 142,000 VND/kg.
In addition, the price of pepper in Binh Phuoc today remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 142,000 VND/kg.
This morning, domestic pepper prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. However, over the week, the market has recorded a decrease of 1000 to 3000 VND/kg. Particularly in areas with high pepper prices such as Dak Lak, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Binh Phuoc, the sharpest decrease reached 3000 VND/kg.
Currently, pepper production in Vietnam is showing signs of decline. Meanwhile, many farmers are choosing to hold onto their stock, waiting for prices to rise before selling. The limited supply while demand remains has created an imbalance, temporarily favoring sellers. This could be a factor supporting a rebound in pepper prices in the medium and long term.
However, in the short term, the market outlook remains bleak. Experts warn that if the downward trend continues, pepper prices this week could fall below 140,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on June 9th (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$7,437/ton. Similarly, Muntok white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$10,142/ton.
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,150 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,100/tonne. Additionally, the price of ASTA white pepper from the same country also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$11,850/tonne.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) reached US$6,300/ton; and the price of black pepper (550 gr/l) reached US$6,400/ton.
Similarly, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,300 per ton.
According to data from Comexstat, in May, Brazil exported 10,355 tons of pepper, earning $66.37 million. Compared to the previous month, export volume decreased by 2%, but value increased by 10.3%. Compared to the same period last year, exports increased sharply by 75.3% in volume and 2.6 times in value.
The average export price of Brazilian pepper in the first five months of this year reached US$6,180 per ton, an increase of nearly 66% compared to the same period last year. In May alone, the price reached US$6,410 per ton, an increase of 12.6% compared to the previous month and nearly 50% compared to the same period last year.
Vietnam was the largest market for Brazilian pepper in the first five months of the year, accounting for 38.1% of total volume and 35.8% of export value. Vietnam imported 16,755 tons worth $97.4 million, an increase of 3.2 times and 5.5 times respectively compared to the same period in 2024.
