The domestic pepper market is maintaining its upward momentum as the new harvest has not yet begun, causing supply to become scarce. Meanwhile, export demand remains stable at a high level, helping pepper prices maintain a good level for many consecutive weeks.
According to statistics, in just the first 9 months of 2025, Vietnam's pepper exports reached nearly 1.3 billion USD, equivalent to the whole year of 2024. The average export price reached about 6,773 USD/ton, an increase of more than 37% over the same period last year. This is a strong growth rate, showing that the position of Vietnam's pepper is still very stable in the international market.
Experts predict that domestic pepper prices may stabilize or increase slightly early next week, with a fluctuation range of VND500 to VND1,500 per kg. If new export orders are signed, especially from the US and the Middle East, pepper prices may rise to VND151,000 to VND152,000 per kg in some key regions.

Pepper price forecast
According to businesses, pepper prices increased mainly due to a decrease in global supply, while demand from major markets such as the US, India and the Middle East remained high. Vietnam continued to play the role of the world's number one pepper exporter, accounting for a large share of the total global supply.
On the other hand, although world pepper prices remain high, trading volume has not been really active. Major exporting countries such as Brazil, Indonesia and Malaysia are actively regulating their supply, making it difficult for international prices to drop sharply. This trend invisibly supports the domestic market to keep prices stable at a high level.
In addition to supply and demand factors, increased production costs, fluctuations in the USD/VND exchange rate and the expectation of pepper growers to wait for prices to increase also contributed to the growth momentum. Many farmers are still limiting sales, waiting for better prices at the end of the year, when consumer demand in major markets often increases sharply.
