Pepper prices today, October 21, 2025: Domestic pepper prices increased sporadically by 500 VND/kg. Vietnam is the largest supplier of pepper to the EU, accounting for 64% of total imports.

Today, October 19, 2025, pepper prices in some key growing regions increased sporadically by 500 VND/kg in a few places, bringing the average domestic pepper price to between 144,000 and 146,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak province remains unchanged at 146,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai province remains unchanged at 144,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper prices in Lam Dong province remain unchanged at 146,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City increased by 500 VND/kg, currently standing at 145,500 VND/kg.

According to data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first 15 days of October 2024, Vietnam exported 9,039 tons of pepper, earning $58.3 million. The US market continued to be the largest destination for Vietnamese pepper, accounting for 31.7% of total exports, equivalent to 2,865 tons.
Olam Vietnam maintained its leading position as an exporting enterprise, with a production volume of 1,424 tons, accounting for 15.8% of the country's total exports. Other enterprises such as Nedspice Vietnam (945 tons), Phuc Sinh (793 tons), Tran Chau (761 tons), and Lien Thanh (578 tons) also made significant contributions to export turnover in the first half of the month.
At the same time, Vietnam also imported 2,295 tons of pepper, with a total value of 13.7 million USD. Of this, Indonesia was the main supplier, accounting for 79.5% of the imports, equivalent to 1,824 tons.
Several large domestic businesses continue to maintain strong import activities to serve processing, blending, and re-export, including Tran Chau (407 tons), Harris Spice (360 tons), Phuc Sinh (350 tons), Olam Vietnam (342 tons), and Phuc Thinh (327 tons).

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updates the latest pepper prices as of October 19, 2025 as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices rose slightly by 0.03% to $7,230 per ton. Similarly, Muntok white pepper prices also increased slightly by 0.03%, reaching $10,088 per ton.
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper remained unchanged at $6,100 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remain unchanged at US$9,500 per ton. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remain unchanged at US$12,500 per ton.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) remains unchanged at US$6,400/ton; and the price of black pepper (550 gr/l) remains unchanged at US$6,600/ton.
Similarly, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged at $9,050 per ton.
According to the latest figures from the European Statistical Agency (Eurostat), in the first eight months of this year, the European Union (EU) imported 89,036 tons of pepper from markets outside the bloc, worth 617.9 million EUR.
Although import volume decreased slightly by 1.1%, the value increased by as much as 42.6% compared to the same period last year, clearly reflecting the global supply shortage and sustained demand in major markets. World pepper prices are in a strong recovery phase, gradually establishing a new, higher price level compared to the past two years.
In the EU's import structure, Vietnam continues to maintain its position as the largest supplier of pepper outside the bloc, accounting for 64% of total imports, equivalent to 56,989 tons. Although the volume of exports to Europe decreased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year, Vietnam still far surpasses other competitors in market share.
Following Vietnam is Brazil, with 14,726 tons (accounting for 16.5%) – a 5.1% increase compared to the previous year. Indonesia reached 6,484 tons, a 10.7% increase, and India supplied 4,124 tons, a 9.8% decrease. These figures show that despite increased competition, Vietnamese pepper remains popular due to its stable quality, abundant supply, and professional export system.
