Pepper price today July 22 in the world market
In the world market, based on quotes from exporting enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on July 21 (Hanoi time) as follows:
The price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper decreased slightly compared to yesterday, reaching 7,134 USD/ton (down 1.15%). In addition, the price of Muntok white pepper also decreased slightly compared to yesterday, reaching 9,972 USD/ton (down 0.86%).

Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained stable compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,440 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,570 USD/ton.
Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at USD 9,150/ton.
Although the current pepper price has increased by nearly 10,000 VND/kg compared to June 2025, it is still not enough to make those who have hoarded pepper feel secure. Many people are impatient because they cannot recover their capital, when the market is still volatile and is considered a gamble.
Export activities are also facing difficulties. According to preliminary data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first half of July 2025, Vietnam exported only 10,808 tons of pepper, reaching a turnover of 70.3 million USD. Compared to the same period last month, export volume decreased by 7.8% and turnover decreased by 11.1%.
What is worrying is that the average export price in the first half of July only reached 6,500 USD/ton, much lower than the average of 6,881 USD/ton in the first 6 months of 2025.
The main consumer markets of Vietnamese pepper during this period were the US (1,472 tons), UAE (1,290 tons) and China (1,072 tons), showing that demand from major partners still exists but is showing signs of slowing down.
