Pepper prices today, July 22nd: Domestic pepper prices today are at 137,000 - 140,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Many people are anxious because they haven't been able to recoup their investment yet, as the price has only increased by nearly 10,000 VND/kg compared to June 2025.

Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remain high compared to yesterday. As a result, the average domestic pepper price ranges from 137,000 VND/kg to 140,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains high compared to yesterday, currently at 140,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 137,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Lam Dong remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 140,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, the price of pepper in Ho Chi Minh City today is 138,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
In addition, the price of pepper in Dong Nai today remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 138,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on July 21st (Hanoi time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices fell slightly compared to yesterday, reaching US$7,134/ton (down 1.15%). Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also decreased slightly compared to yesterday, reaching US$9,972/ton (down 0.86%).
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $5,800 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$8,900/ton. Additionally, the price of ASTA white pepper from the same country remained stable at US$11,750/ton.
Prices of various types of Vietnamese pepper remained stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) reached US$6,440/ton; and the price of black pepper (550 gr/l) reached US$6,570/ton.
Similarly, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday, at $9,150 per ton.
Although current pepper prices have increased by nearly 10,000 VND/kg compared to June 2025, it is still not enough to reassure those who had stockpiled pepper. Many are anxious because they have not yet recovered their capital, as the market remains volatile and is likened to a gamble.
Export activities are also facing difficulties. According to preliminary data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first half of July 2025, Vietnam only exported 10,808 tons of pepper, earning $70.3 million. Compared to the same period last month, export volume decreased by 7.8% and export value decreased by 11.1%.
Of concern is that the average export price in the first half of July reached only $6,500 per ton, significantly lower than the average of $6,881 per ton for the first six months of 2025.
The main markets for Vietnamese pepper during this period were the US (1,472 tons), UAE (1,290 tons), and China (1,072 tons), indicating that demand from major partners remains but is showing signs of slowing down.
