In Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province, many farmers are switching to organic pepper production. They use biological products and microbial fertilizers instead of chemical fertilizers. This method helps save costs, maintain stable yields, and contribute to environmental protection.

The family of Mr. Vu Dinh Khoi in Hamlet 6, Ea Bhok Commune, is one of the pioneering households. Previously, when pepper prices were high, his family and many others expanded their planting area and overused fertilizers and pesticides to increase productivity. However, this made the pepper plants more susceptible to diseases, especially sudden and slow wilting diseases, causing significant losses.

Learning from that experience, Mr. Khoi decided to switch to organic pepper cultivation. He applied the technique of "washing" the garden at the beginning of the season to prevent diseases and pests, and used probiotics throughout the cultivation process. As a result, his 1.2-hectare pepper garden yielded high productivity, had fewer diseases, and developed steadily. In addition, he also used composted manure and cow dung to increase soil fertility and protect the plants.

In Dray Bhang commune, Mr. Vu Kim Thinh also chose to use bio-fertilizers instead of chemical pesticides. He said that this method is not only safe for farmers but also ensures clean products for consumers.

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Luong's family in Ea Ning commune also recorded stable yields thanks to caring for their pepper garden with biological products.

According to Mr. Ngo Minh Dung, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Ea Ning commune, since the implementation of the landscape pepper farming model, people have clearly seen the benefits. The application of organic techniques helps increase productivity, reduce pests and diseases, lower costs, and especially protect the environment. To date, 328 households in the commune have participated in this model with a total area of nearly 361 hectares. This shows that the trend of sustainable farming is increasingly spreading among local farmers.
