Today's pepper prices (July 24th) in the world market.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on July 23 (Hanoi time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices rose slightly compared to yesterday, reaching US$7,148/ton (up 0.06%). Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also decreased slightly compared to yesterday, reaching US$9,992/ton (up 0.06%).

The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,000 per ton.

Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$8,900/ton. Additionally, the price of ASTA white pepper from the same country remained stable at US$11,750/ton.

Prices of various types of Vietnamese pepper remained stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) reached US$6,440/ton; and the price of black pepper (550 gr/l) reached US$6,570/ton.

Similarly, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday, at $9,150 per ton.

According to VPSA, in the first 17 days of July 2025, Vietnam exported 10,808 tons of pepper, earning $70.3 million. Compared to the previous month, the volume decreased by 7.8% and the value decreased by 11.1%.

Major importers such as the US and EU are temporarily halting purchases pending the outcome of reciprocal tariffs on Brazilian pepper. This has slowed global trade and reduced inventories. Meanwhile, pepper prices in India, Indonesia, and Malaysia have remained largely unchanged.

Despite a slight decrease in exports, Vietnamese pepper continues to be highly valued by international markets due to its consistent quality, compliance with standards, and stable supply after the harvest. The US, Europe, and the Middle East remain the main importing markets.

In the context of a volatile market, ensuring a secure supply chain from production to logistics helps Vietnamese pepper maintain its position in the global market.

There are still eight months until the next harvest. Despite low supply, pepper prices have not risen sharply due to weak demand. Many businesses remain cautious, waiting for signals from major markets such as China and Europe. If demand recovers in the fourth quarter of 2025, prices may increase again.
