Faced with supply fluctuations, many cooperatives in Lam Dong are strengthening their linkage models to maintain production stability. Binh Minh Production - Trade - Service Cooperative is one of the leading units in cooperating with processing businesses and international organizations to build a sustainable raw material area.

The entire locality currently has nearly 2,800 hectares of pepper plantations with a production of approximately 5,500 tons, of which more than 1,400 hectares have participated in the supply chain linkage model. The authorities stated that the previous small-scale production made farmers vulnerable to price manipulation, while the supply chain linkage model is helping to enhance brand recognition and ensure more stable output.

With approximately 36,000 hectares of pepper plantations, Lam Dong province aims to develop "clean pepper" products, meeting international market standards and enhancing the value of the local pepper industry.

Today's world pepper prices

According to the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the close of the most recent trading session, the IPC listed Indonesian Lampung black pepper at US$7,136/ton (up 0.17%) and Muntok white pepper at US$9,717/ton (up 0.17%).

Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper is priced at US$6,175/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper remains stable at US$9,200/ton; Malaysian ASTA white pepper is priced at US$12,300/ton.

Vietnamese black pepper prices rose sharply today, trading at US$6,500/ton (up US$100/ton) for the 500 g/l variety; US$6,700/ton for the 550 g/l variety (up US$100/ton); white pepper prices were at US$9,250/ton (up US$200/ton).

In the first half of November 2025, Vietnam exported over 8,203 tons of pepper, earning nearly $52.85 million. As of November 15th, total exports reached approximately 213,432 tons with a value exceeding $1.44 billion. This is a significant milestone for the pepper industry, especially given the supply disruptions caused by drought and unseasonal rains in many growing regions.

According to expert Hoang Phuoc Binh, Vietnamese pepper has the potential to set export records thanks to sharply rising prices, and this upward cycle could last for more than 10 years. Domestic pepper prices next year are forecast to reach 200,000 VND per kilogram, indicating a very positive outlook for the industry.

In terms of businesses, Simexco Dak Lak continues to lead in exports, followed by Olam, Haprosimex, Phuc Sinh, and Nedspice Vietnam. The US remains the largest consumer market, while the UAE and China recorded significant growth compared to the previous month. This improvement contributes to maintaining the stability of pepper export growth during a period of global supply uncertainty.
