Today, June 28th, domestic pepper prices are at 127,000 - 128,000 VND/kg. Domestic pepper prices have increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The strategy of stockpiling, processing, and re-exporting coffee is being intensified.

Today's pepper prices in key growing regions saw a slight, scattered increase compared to yesterday. As a result, the average domestic pepper price is between 127,000 VND/kg and 128,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 128,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Gia Lai increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently standing at 127,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Dak Nong remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 128,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is 128,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dong Nai also saw an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 128,000 VND/kg.

In addition, the price of pepper in Binh Phuoc today remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 127,000 VND/kg.

In the first 17 days of June 2025, Vietnam imported 3,711 tons of pepper, worth US$22.2 million. The main sources were Brazil (1,783 tons) and Cambodia (1,339 tons). Major importing companies included Olam Vietnam (672 tons), Gia Vi Vietnam (304 tons), and Simexco Dak Lak (245 tons). This import activity demonstrates the ongoing strategy of stockpiling, processing, and re-exporting pepper.

During the same period, Vietnam exported 11,721 tons of pepper, earning $79.1 million, more than three times the amount imported. Leading exporters were Nedspice Vietnam (1,016 tons), Olam Vietnam (804 tons), and Simexco Dak Lak (800 tons). These companies also import raw materials, reflecting an efficient, closed-loop business model.

China (1,904 tons) and the US (1,785 tons) are the two largest consumer markets. China is increasing imports due to recovering domestic demand, while the US remains stable with high quality requirements.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on June 27th (local time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$7,528/tonne. Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$10,169/tonne.

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $5,850 per ton.

Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,000/tonne. Additionally, the price of ASTA white pepper from the same country also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$11,750/tonne.

Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 5,800 USD/ton; and the price of 550 gr/l is 5,900 USD/ton.

Similarly, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,800 per ton.
