Pepper prices today, July 7, 2025: Maintaining high levels.
Today, July 7th, domestic pepper prices are at 139,000 - 144,000 VND/kg. Domestic and international pepper prices have risen sharply again this past week in most major exporting countries.
Domestic pepper prices
Today's pepper prices in key growing regions remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Therefore, the average domestic pepper price is between 139,000 VND/kg and 144,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 144,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 139,000 VND/kg.
Today's pepper price in Dak Nong remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 140,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is 140,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai also remains unchanged from yesterday at 140,000 VND/kg.
In addition, the price of pepper in Binh Phuoc today remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 140,000 VND/kg.
Over the past week, pepper prices have risen sharply by 7,000 to 12,000 VND/kg depending on the region. Dak Lak currently has the highest prices after increasing by 11,000 VND/kg this week.
In provinces such as Dak Nong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Dong Nai, pepper prices increased by 7,000 VND/kg compared to last week. Binh Phuoc recorded a sharp increase of up to 12,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai currently has the lowest pepper prices, but it also recorded an increase of 8,000 VND/kg last week.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on July 6th (local time) as follows:
Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$7,541/tonne. Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$10,187/tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,250 per ton.
Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$8,900/tonne. Additionally, the price of ASTA white pepper from the same country also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$11,750/tonne.
Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) reached US$6,240/ton; and the price of black pepper (550 gr/l) reached US$6,370/ton.
Similarly, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,950 per ton.
World pepper prices rebounded last week in most major exporting countries.
In Indonesia, black pepper prices rose slightly by $11/ton compared to last week. Meanwhile, Vietnam's export black pepper prices recorded a sharp increase of $440 to $470/ton. Brazil also saw ASTA 570 black pepper prices rise to $400/ton.
With white pepper, the market also recorded an upward trend. The price of Indonesian Muntok white pepper increased by $15/ton. Meanwhile, in Vietnam, the export price of white pepper increased by an additional $150/ton last week.
Pepper exports in the first six months of 2025 saw a sharp increase in value but a slight decrease in volume.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in the first six months of 2025, Vietnam exported 124,900 tons of pepper, earning $859.6 million. Although production decreased by 12.4% compared to the same period last year, thanks to the average export price reaching $6,881/ton, a sharp increase of 54.8%, the export value still increased by 35.7%.
The US, Germany, and India are the three largest markets for Vietnamese pepper, accounting for 26.8%, 9.2%, and 7.7% of total export value, respectively. Notably, exports to India increased by 86.7%, Germany by 73.7%, and the US by 34.8%. In particular, the UK market saw a breakthrough increase of 2.1 times, while the Netherlands experienced a sharp decline of 12.5%, becoming the market with the largest drop among the top 15 importing countries.
In June 2025 alone, the US remained the largest export market with 4,439 tons, but this was a 30% decrease compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, exports to China increased sharply by 28.5%, reaching 3,330 tons. Other major markets included the UAE with 1,727 tons, India with 1,239 tons, and Germany with 1,012 tons.
Some of the top exporting businesses in the month included Nedspice Vietnam with 2036 tons, Olam Vietnam with 1671 tons, Simexco Dak Lak with 1660 tons, Phuc Sinh with 1075 tons, and Tran Chau with 911 tons.
Conversely, Vietnam imported 6,089 tons of pepper in June, including 5,629 tons of black pepper and 460 tons of white pepper, with a total value of $37.9 million. Compared to the previous month, the import volume decreased by 10.9% and the value decreased by 13.6%.
The largest importing companies include Olam Vietnam with 1,493 tons, Gia Vi Vietnam with 520 tons, Nedspice Vietnam with 423 tons, Tran Chau with 378 tons, and Simexco Dak Lak with 299 tons. Imported pepper mainly comes from Brazil with 3,463 tons and Cambodia with 1,777 tons.
