Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak is being purchased at 147,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. The price of pepper in Chu Se (Gia Lai) is being purchased at 145,000 VND/kg, also unchanged from yesterday. The price of pepper in Dak Nong today is recorded at 147,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the price is currently at 145,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, the price of pepper today is also at 145,000 VND/kg.

Domestic pepper prices currently fluctuate between 145,000 and 147,000 VND/kg, maintaining a stable trend over the past several weeks. With global demand continuing to rise, Vietnamese pepper is projected to set a new record, with export revenue exceeding US$1.5 billion in 2025. This is a positive sign for the pepper industry after years of significant fluctuations in production and prices.
According to traders, the domestic pepper market is being affected by two main factors. Firstly, the demand from export businesses has temporarily slowed down, as they await clearer signals regarding exchange rates and international shipping costs. Secondly, domestic supply is limited, as farmers tend to hold onto their stock, hoping for higher pepper prices at the end of the year to sell more profitably.
From the beginning of 2025 to the present, Vietnam has imported more than 37,700 tons of pepper, an increase of over 25% in volume and 65.6% in value compared to the same period last year. This is a record high import level, exceeding even the total import volume of 2024. Experts believe that the increase in imports reflects the proactive strategy of large enterprises in securing raw materials, while also taking advantage of competitive prices from major producing countries such as Brazil and Indonesia.
Today's world pepper prices
According to the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the close of the most recent trading session, the IPC listed Indonesian Lampung black pepper at US$7,111/ton (up 0.03%) and Muntok white pepper at US$9,749/ton (up 0.02%).
Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper is priced at US$6,100/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper remains stable at US$9,200/ton; the price of Malaysian ASTA white pepper reached US$12,300/ton.
Vietnamese black pepper prices remained stable at high levels today, trading at US$6,400/ton for the 500 g/l variety; US$6,600/ton for the 550 g/l variety; and white pepper at US$9,050/ton.
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam exported 206,427 tons of various types of pepper, earning US$1.39 billion. Compared to the same period last year, export volume decreased by 5.9%, but value increased by 25.4%. The average export price of black pepper reached US$6,628/ton and white pepper reached US$8,683/ton, increasing by 36.6% and 34.4% respectively compared to 2024. This increase shows that the value of Vietnamese pepper is being enhanced thanks to its good quality and strong global demand.
Thanks to high export prices and the efforts of businesses in deep processing, the pepper industry has maintained impressive growth despite a decrease in production. By the end of October, export turnover had reached nearly $1.4 billion, surpassing the $1.3 billion target for the whole of 2024 and almost reaching the record high of $1.43 billion achieved in 2016 – the peak period of Vietnam's pepper industry. This is considered a positive sign, reflecting the strong recovery of the market after many years of volatility.
Conversely, pepper imports into Vietnam also increased sharply in both quantity and value. By the end of October 2025, Vietnam had imported 37,783 tons, reaching a value of US$236.9 million, an increase of 25.3% in volume and 65.6% in value compared to the same period last year. Compared to 2023, the import volume increased by as much as 67.9%. This is the highest import level ever, far exceeding the 30,295 tons of the whole year of 2024, showing that domestic businesses are proactively securing raw material supplies for processing and re-export.
