Gold prices this afternoon, February 26, 2026 (the day of the God of Wealth): Unexpectedly cooled down, many brands reduced prices by more than 1 million VND/ounce.
Updated at 5:00 PM on February 26, 2026 – coinciding with the God of Wealth festival – the domestic gold market surprised everyone by reversing course and adjusting downwards. After a mid-week surge, gold prices cooled down across the board, generally falling back to the 181-184 million VND/ounce range. Many businesses recorded price reductions of up to 1.3 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling directions, even though this is usually a time when demand for gold is high.
At SJC, the price of gold bars this afternoon was adjusted quite significantly. The company listed the buying price at 181.0 million VND/ounce and the selling price at 184.0 million VND/ounce. Compared to the same time yesterday, each price decreased by 1.3 million VND/ounce.
Unlike SJC, DOJI closed this afternoon's trading session with the buying price of SJC gold bars falling further by 400,000 VND, to 181.9 million VND/ounce. The selling price of gold also decreased by 400,000 VND this afternoon to 184.9 million VND/ounce.
This afternoon at Mi Hong, the buying price of SJC gold bars decreased by 1 million VND/ounce, closing the day at 181.2 million VND/ounce. The selling price also decreased by 1 million VND, closing the day at 184 million VND/ounce.

Bao Tin Minh Chau is trading gold rings at 181.5 million VND/ounce for buying and 184.5 million VND/ounce for selling. The price of gold rings decreased by 300,000 VND in both buying and selling directions today. The price difference remains at 3 million VND/ounce.
