World gold prices this afternoon, October 7, 2025, and a chart showing world gold price fluctuations over the past 24 hours.
According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:30 PM on October 7th (Vietnam time) was $3952.8 USD/ounce. This afternoon's price increased by $14.83 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,398 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 125.8 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of gold bars is currently 14.8 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

Domestic and international gold prices both reached new highs today. While domestic gold bars and rings saw a sharp increase, international gold prices continued to set new records, approaching the $4,000 per ounce mark.
However, experts are beginning to express caution regarding this upward trend. They argue that gold is currently overbought, like a car speeding at full throttle and needing to ease off the gas.
If the US dollar strengthens or US bond yields rise, the price of gold is likely to experience a short-term downward correction.
The forecast of a price of $4,000 per ounce, initially projected for 2026, is now within reach as the current gold price stands at around $3,950.
However, the same banking experts who made this forecast also warned that many technical signals suggest the current upward momentum may be running out, meaning we could see a period of sideways movement or even a slight decline in gold prices in Q4 2025 to consolidate before resuming the long-term upward trend.
