As of 4:00 AM today, October 15, 2025, the price of gold bars in Vietnam has increased by up to 2 million VND per tael. Specifically:
DOJI Group listed SJC gold bars at 144.1 - 146.1 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 2 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday.
At the same time, the price of gold bars listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) was 144.1 - 146.1 million VND/ounce (buy - sell), an increase of 2 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday.
Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 145.1 - 146.1 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the price of gold increased by 2 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling directions.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd., the price of gold bars is being traded at 144.9 - 146.4 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 2.8 million VND/ounce in the buying price and 2.3 million VND/ounce in the selling price compared to the same period yesterday.
At Bao Tin Manh Hai Co., Ltd., the price of gold bars is being traded at 144.2 - 146.1 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). Compared to yesterday, the price of gold increased by 2 million VND/ounce in the buying price and 2.1 million VND/ounce in the selling price.
At Phu Quy, SJC gold bars are being traded at 143.5 - 146.1 million VND/ounce (buy - sell), an increase of 2.2 million VND/ounce in the buying price and 2 million VND/ounce in the selling price compared to yesterday.
ACB gold bars are being traded by businesses at 145.1 - 146.1 million VND/ounce (buy - sell). Compared to yesterday, the price of gold has increased by 2 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling directions.
As of 4:00 AM on October 15, 2025, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong gold rings at DOJI was listed at 143.9 - 145.9 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price); an increase of 4.4 million VND/ounce in the buying price and an increase of 3.9 million VND/ounce in the selling price compared to yesterday.

World gold price today, October 15, 2025, and chart of world gold price fluctuations over the past 24 hours.
According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:00 AM on October 15th (Vietnam time) was $4134.17 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by $41.78 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,369 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 131.1 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of gold bars is currently 15 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.
Even though 2025 hasn't ended yet, the price of gold worldwide is experiencing a truly explosive surge. The precious metal has increased in value by nearly 60%, after also recording an impressive increase of around 27% in 2024.
Gold prices have been continuously setting new records over the past month. Prices began to surge from $3,700 per ounce, surpassing $3,800 per ounce, and most notably, impressively breaking through the crucial psychological barrier of $4,000 per ounce.
The peak was reached on October 13th, when the price of gold hit a new record high of $4,090 per ounce. By the morning of October 14th in the Asian market, the upward trend continued, with the price of gold rising by nearly $40, reaching $4,150 per ounce and showing no signs of stopping.
According to the latest forecast from Societe Generale, with the current upward trend, the international gold price could reach $5,000 per ounce by the end of 2026. Meanwhile, in the domestic market, the price of SJC gold is predicted to easily reach 150 million VND per tael in the near future, mainly due to exchange rate differences and consistently high domestic demand for gold.
What surprised many was that gold prices continued to rise sharply despite factors that usually diminish its appeal. The US stock market has resumed its strong upward trend, and the US dollar is also on the path to recovery. Furthermore, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have eased considerably following the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
In this context, the domestic supply of gold is becoming increasingly scarce. SJC Company now only sells gold bars to customers who have successfully registered through its website, instead of selling directly at its stores as before.
A new regulation implemented a few days ago requires customers trading gold worth over 20 million VND to make a bank transfer. However, this requirement is no longer a major obstacle as people have become accustomed to this method.
