Gold prices continue to fall.
World gold prices continued to fall to $1,230/oz, while SJC gold prices dropped to VND 33.35 million/ounce.
This Monday morning (April 25th), the buying and selling price of gold at the start of the week is 33.10 - 33.35 million VND/ounce according to the Saigon Jewelry Company's listing, a decrease of 20,000 VND/ounce compared to the end of last week. The difference between the buying and selling price remains stable at 250,000 VND/ounce.
At the start of trading this morning, DOJI Group listed the buying and selling prices of gold at 33.20 - 33.27 USD/oz, a decrease of 50,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous session. The difference between the buying and selling price is 70,000 VND/ounce.
Global gold prices fell for the second consecutive week as the US dollar index rose against other major currencies. Since last Thursday, the euro has dropped lower against the dollar as traders see the potential for the European Central Bank to increase economic stimulus measures if necessary.
Regarding gold price predictions this week, retail investors are largely optimistic about a price increase after participating in Kitco's online gold survey. Meanwhile, in a survey of 18 experts, only 5 out of 18 said they were optimistic about the gold market; 8 out of 18 predicted a price drop; and the rest held a neutral view.
After falling to $1,232/oz at the end of last week, the price of gold for immediate delivery has now dropped further to $1,230/oz. The price of gold for June delivery has also fallen similarly to $1,231/oz.
According to this morning's exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 33.07 million VND/ounce, which is 280,000 VND/ounce lower than the SJC gold price.
