According to analysts, oil prices fell following a series of disappointing economic data from Germany, the Eurozone, and the UK, impacting the outlook for energy demand.

Business activity figures in the Eurozone unexpectedly declined this month, suggesting the eurozone may be heading into recession. The latest economic data from Germany also indicates that Europe's leading economy has entered a downturn. Meanwhile, monthly business results in the UK continue to fall, highlighting the risk of recession in the country.

In addition, the strengthening US dollar makes oil more expensive for traders using other currencies. This is also a reason for the decline in oil prices.

However, oil prices also received support from a decrease in US gasoline and oil inventories. The American Petroleum Institute (API) weekly oil inventory report showed a sharp decline in US crude oil and fuel inventories last week.

In the domestic market, retail prices of gasoline and diesel today are based on the prices set in the afternoon price adjustment session on October 23rd by the inter-ministerial committee of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Gasoline and diesel prices have been slightly increased. Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline increased to 22,360 VND/liter. The retail price of RON 95 gasoline rose to 23,510 VND/liter. Diesel fuel increased to 22,480 VND/liter, while kerosene increased to 22,750 VND/liter.
