Gold prices at noon on November 14th: SJC gold and gold rings reversed direction for the second time in just half a day, rising again to 153.7 million VND. World gold prices rose above 4200 USD.
Accordingly, the spot price of gold in the Asian market today, November 14th, opened at $4,189.7 per ounce, down $2 per ounce compared to the same time yesterday.
After three hours of trading, at 12:00 PM (Hanoi time), the spot gold price rose again to $4202 per ounce, an increase of $13 per ounce compared to the opening of the trading session.
A surprising development in the financial markets is that gold prices did not weaken when the US government reopened after days of shutdown. Instead of falling, gold continued to be chosen as a safe haven. Concerns about long-term economic factors are causing investors to prioritize asset preservation, thus keeping gold prices higher than expected.
Despite the stabilization of government activities, a cautious sentiment remains widespread in the markets. Gold prices maintain a firm momentum due to continued safe-haven demand from investors.
In the short term, easing US-China tensions and a more stable economic environment may slow the upward momentum of gold prices. However, analysts still believe that the medium- and long-term outlook for gold remains positive. The trend of seeking safe-haven assets, coupled with an unpredictable geopolitical landscape, creates a solid foundation for gold to maintain its appeal.
