Today, the prices of 9999, SJC, 24K, DOJI, and PNJ gold continued to fall. World gold prices reached their lowest point in the past six months. As of 5:30 AM on September 28, 2023, the gold prices on the trading floors of several companies were as follows:

DOJI lists the price of 9999 gold at 68.00 million VND/ounce for buying and 68.90 million VND/ounce for selling.

Japanese Yen exchange rateuncontrolled decline

The Japanese Yen exchange rates surveyed at various banks on the morning of September 28th are as follows:

At Vietcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate is 158.86 VND/JPY for buying and 168.17 VND/JPY for selling, a decrease of 0.24 VND in both directions. At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.57 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 158.9 VND/JPY and 168.6 VND/JPY. At BIDV, the buying rate decreased by 0.28 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.27 VND to 160.24 VND/JPY and 168.58 VND/JPY. At Agribank, the buying and selling rates are 161.42 VND/JPY and 165.41 VND/JPY respectively, a decrease of 0.02 VND.

At Eximbank, the buying and selling rates decreased by 0.03 VND, reaching 161.18 VND/JPY, while the selling rate remained unchanged at 165.76 VND/JPY. At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.04 VND in the buying rate and 0.07 VND in the selling rate, reaching 156.91 VND/JPY and 169.16 VND/JPY respectively. At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.07 VND in the buying rate to 161 VND/JPY and by 0.06 VND in the selling rate to 167.55 VND/JPY.

According to the survey, today Agribank has the highest buying rate for the Japanese Yen and, at the same time, the lowest selling rate among the surveyed banks.

The US dollar reaches a new peak globally.

The central USD/VND exchange rate today (September 28) announced by the State Bank of Vietnam increased by 4 dong compared to September 27, currently standing at 24,088 VND/USD. The global USD exchange rate has set a new 10-month high.

Currently, the USD exchange rate that commercial banks are allowed to trade is from 23,400 to 25,242 VND/USD. The selling rate has also been set by the State Bank of Vietnam's Exchange Department within the same range of 23,400 - 25,242 VND/USD.

This morning, the USD exchange rate and domestic foreign exchange rates saw a series of upward adjustments at various banks. Specifically, Vietcombank maintained its buying rate at 24,200 and its selling rate at 24,540. The current buying and selling prices of USD are in the range of 23,400 – 25,300 VND/USD.

Domestic coffee prices, updated at 4:20 AM on September 28th, have risen again, increasing by 200-300 VND/kg, with the average price in the Central Highlands provinces reaching 66,400 VND/kg.

Specifically, the purchase price of coffee in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces on September 28th was 66,300 VND/kg. In Dak Nong province, coffee was purchased at 66,700 VND/kg (an increase of 300 VND/kg).

In Lam Dong province, in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha, the price of bulk green coffee beans (green coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) is being purchased at 65,900 VND/kg (an increase of 200 VND/kg).

In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, the current price of coffee is 66,400 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Ea H'leo district and Buon Ho town, the purchase price is the same at 66,500 VND/kg (an increase of 300 VND/kg).
