According to Vietcombank's exchange rate table on the morning of January 19th, major foreign currencies fluctuated in opposite directions.
The Australian dollar rose in all three directions: cash buying at 17,122.29 VND/AUD, transfer buying at 17,295.25 VND/AUD, and selling at 17,849.16 VND/AUD. The Japanese yen also edged up, with cash buying at 160.89 VND/JPY, transfer buying at 162.52 VND/JPY, and selling at 171.11 VND/JPY.
Conversely, the USD fell slightly by 3 dong, currently trading at 26,058 – 26,088 – 26,388 VND/USD (cash buy – transfer buy – sell). The British pound experienced the sharpest decline, falling to 34,311.14 – 34,657.72 – 35,767.7 VND/GBP; the euro continued to weaken, listed at 29,780.35 – 30,081.16 – 31,350.43 VND/EUR.
