E10 gasoline will be rolled out nationwide starting June 1st.
One of the notable developments in the current petroleum market is the plan to roll out E10 bioethanol fuel nationwide starting June 1, 2026. This new roadmap is being implemented according to the regulations in Circular 50 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to the plan, E10 gasoline will be widely used for gasoline-powered vehicles nationwide. Meanwhile, E5 RON92 gasoline will continue to be in circulation until the end of 2030 to ensure a smooth transition process.
In fact, many businesses have begun testing the sale of E10 gasoline since August 2025 in many major localities. In May alone, thousands of retail outlets switched to selling the new biofuel instead of traditional gasoline.
According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, the deployment of E10 gasoline will be carried out in stages, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and protecting consumer rights.
