Oil prices today June 11, 2025: World crude oil prices fell slightly despite positive news from the US-China trade negotiations.

World oil prices

Brent oil fell 0.17 USD to 66.87 USD/barrel; WTI oil fell 0.31 USD to 64.98 USD/barrel.

The world's two largest economies have just reached a framework agreement after a round of high-level negotiations in London, which is expected to boost the global economy and oil demand.

However, analysts said the oil price increase is still mainly technical and could weaken if there is no further supportive news.

Reuters quoted US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick as saying that the deal with China also includes removing restrictions on exports of rare earths and magnets - important elements in the technology supply chain.

On the other hand, Saudi Aramco announced that it would reduce oil shipments to China in July to 47 million barrels, down 1 million barrels from the previous month. This move may indicate that OPEC+ has not eased production cuts, reducing the risk of oversupply in the short term.

Domestic gasoline prices

In the operating period on June 5, gasoline prices increased slightly. Specifically, E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 67 VND/liter, to a maximum of 19,263 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, not higher than 19,698 VND/liter.

On the contrary, oil prices fluctuated unevenly. Diesel increased by VND284/liter, to VND17,420/liter; kerosene increased by VND176/liter, to VND17,284/liter. Fuel oil alone decreased by VND86/kg, to VND16,178/kg.

The regulatory agency continues not to set aside or spend the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for all products during this period.

In Vietnam, some key enterprises predict that domestic gasoline prices may increase simultaneously during the adjustment period on June 12. It is expected that RON95 gasoline will increase by about 300 VND/liter, and other types of oil will increase by 200 - 300 VND/liter, not taking into account the impact of the Price Stabilization Fund.

According to the Vietnam Petroleum Institute, gasoline prices may increase by 0.9 - 1.1%, while oil prices may increase by 1.3 - 1.8%. It is likely that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will not set aside or spend the Price Stabilization Fund in the next adjustment period.
