Gasoline and diesel prices today, April 19, 2025: Significant recovery.
Fuel prices today, April 19, 2025: Domestic fuel prices remain stable. Meanwhile, the international market is witnessing a clear recovery in crude oil prices.
As of the morning of April 19th, WTI crude oil was priced at $64.68 per barrel, while Brent crude oil reached $67.96 per barrel. Both types of oil saw significant gains over the past week, with Brent rising nearly 5% and WTI exceeding 5%, ending a three-week losing streak.
This upward trend stems from several supporting factors. Positive economic data for March, coupled with increased oil imports from China, further fueled concerns about tighter supply. Additionally, the US recently imposed sanctions on China's Shengxing Chemical refinery for purchasing oil from Iran, raising fears of even tighter supply.
OPEC+ has also adjusted its production quotas, contributing to higher market expectations. However, uncertainties surrounding US-China trade tensions and global policies remain factors that could hinder the recovery of oil prices in the near future.

Domestic fuel prices on April 19, 2025, continue to be applied according to the latest adjustment period from 3 PM on April 17 by the Joint Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade. Accordingly, the prices of most petroleum products have decreased slightly compared to the previous adjustment period on April 10.
Specifically, E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 384 VND/liter, now priced at 18,498 VND/liter. RON 95 gasoline also decreased by 351 VND/liter, down to 18,856 VND/liter. Diesel 0.05S decreased by 206 VND/liter, to 17,037 VND/liter. Kerosene decreased by 229 VND/liter, to 17,184 VND/liter. However, fuel oil increased by 58 VND/kg, reaching 15,960 VND/kg.
In this price adjustment period, the inter-ministerial committee continued to neither allocate funds to nor disburse funds from the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for all commodities. This indicates that domestic prices are adjusted primarily according to global market developments without utilizing price stabilization tools.
