In the past 15 days, world oil prices have been increasing quite a bit compared to before. Therefore, today's gasoline prices may increase again.

According to Singapore market price data, the average gasoline price over the past 15 days was at $61/barrel, $3/barrel higher than the average price of the previous 15 days ($57.856/barrel).

According to calculations, each liter of gasoline sold on the market is currently lower than the average import price of the past 15 days by about 600 VND/liter.

Thus, if the price stabilization fund is not used, today's gasoline price could increase at the same level.

In the previous adjustment period (July 20), the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to increase gasoline prices. Specifically, RON 92 gasoline price increased by 357 VND/liter; E5 gasoline increased by 333 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S increased by 372 VND/liter...

Since late July, world oil prices have increased quite strongly. At that time, world oil prices sometimes experienced many consecutive increases due to tight supply in the US and the possibility that this country would impose sanctions on Venezuela, a member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

On August 2 and 3, oil prices showed signs of a slight decrease as OPEC supplies remained high despite rising US demand. OPEC supplies increased despite its commitment to limit production by 1.8 million barrels per day from January 2017 to the end of March 2018.
