Gasoline prices may continue to decrease in the March 13 management period
According to the Machine Learning model for forecasting gasoline prices of the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI), gasoline prices in the operating period on March 13 may continue to decrease by 2.5 - 2.7%. This reduction will be applied if the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade does not make provisions or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.

Data analyst Doan Tien Quyet said that VPI's model uses artificial neural networks (ANN) and supervised learning algorithms to make forecasts. Accordingly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline could decrease by VND499/liter to VND19,461/liter. Meanwhile, RON 95-III gasoline could decrease by VND551/liter to VND19,849/liter.
Diesel and fuel oil also tend to decrease.
Not only gasoline, oil prices are also forecast to decrease during this management period. Specifically, fuel oil may decrease the most, up to 4.1%, bringing the price to 16,447 VND/kg. Diesel oil may decrease 1.8%, down to 18,000 VND/liter, while kerosene may decrease only slightly by 0.3%, down to 18,514 VND/liter.
VPI also forecasts that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will likely not make any adjustments to the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund this period. This could create conditions for fuel prices to continue to decrease, benefiting consumers.
