RON95 gasoline prices have dropped sharply by nearly 3,000 VND/liter, while some types of diesel have seen reductions of up to nearly 10,000 VND/liter.
Gasoline and diesel prices were significantly reduced in today's price adjustment. RON95 gasoline dropped by nearly 3,000 VND/liter, and diesel decreased by almost 10,000 VND/liter.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have decided to adjust retail gasoline and diesel prices from 3:30 PM today (April 9).
Accordingly, the price of RON95 gasoline decreased by nearly 3,000 VND/liter, with the selling price not exceeding 23,543 VND/liter.
The price of E5 RON92 gasoline has decreased by nearly 2,400 VND/liter, with the retail price not exceeding 22,344 VND/liter.
Similarly, diesel prices have dropped sharply by nearly 10,000 VND/liter, with selling prices not exceeding 32,969 VND/liter.
Fuel oil prices decreased by 1,650 VND/kg, with selling prices not exceeding 22,613 VND/kg.
At today's price adjustment, the inter-ministerial committee decided not to disburse funds from the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund. Instead, they decided to contribute 800 VND/liter (or kg) to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for bio-gasoline, RON95 gasoline, and fuel oil; and 1,000 VND/liter for diesel.
In the most recent fuel price adjustment (April 8th), fuel prices reversed course and decreased. Specifically, diesel prices fell by nearly 2,000 VND/liter, and fuel oil prices decreased by 322 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 691 VND/liter. The price of RON95-III gasoline also dropped by 440 VND/liter.
At the price adjustment meeting on April 8th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not allocate funds to, and simultaneously ceased using, the fuel price stabilization fund.
The government has been decisively directing the management of gasoline and diesel prices in recent times. Simultaneously, regulatory agencies such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have implemented numerous solutions to control and cool down gasoline and diesel prices, flexibly adjusting them according to fluctuations in the global market.
Notably, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently decided to temporarily suspend the regulation related to kerosene in the formula for calculating the base price of gasoline and diesel until April 28th, and at the same time, develop a plan to abolish it through a simplified procedure.
From 0:00 on March 27th until the end of April 15th, the environmental protection tax on gasoline (excluding ethanol), diesel fuel, and aviation fuel will be reduced to 0 VND/liter. Simultaneously, these items are not subject to value-added tax declaration and payment, but input tax deductions are still applicable.
The excise tax on gasoline has also been adjusted to 0%. The Ministry of Finance is continuing to propose reducing the VAT and environmental protection tax on kerosene and fuel oil to 0%.
